During 3 days, specialists from various profiles of the Port Aktau, KTZ Express, Lianyungang Port and the KITNG design organization discussed issues of optimizing the layout and harmonization of technological processes of the projected container hub of the Aktau port.
The first stage of the facility’s construction involves the creation of sufficient capacities to handle at least 70-80 thousand TEU containers with the possibility of further expansion as needed.
The container hub construction project initiated on behalf of the Head of State will serve as the basis for expanding the terminal capacities of the Aktau seaport and turn it into a key logistics hub on the TITR and North-South routes, capable of handling up to 300 thousand TEU containers per year.
In general, the full implementation of the project will provide a number of advantages, including for Kazakhstani shippers, will have a positive impact on delivery times and will contribute to medium- and long-term planning of container transportation.
